Charles & Marquita Patterson
Charles, along with his wife, Marquita, founded Church of the Hills in 1985 and have partnered together as co-leaders since that time. Charles and Marquita have two adult children and five grandchildren.
Charles’ focus is to equip and train God’s people to become who God says they are in order to do what God designed them to do. As God’s people come alive to who God is and to all He has for them, they begin to have a powerful impact on the culture within which they live and work.
Charles and Marquita have traveled to around the globe ministering to the church at large and encouraging leaders. Charles enjoys strong and vibrant relationships with many pastors in the Austin area. He has a strong desire to see the church awaken to its full potential to make a difference in our day.

Senior Associate Pastor
Becky joined Church of the Hills’ leadership team in January 2001. She and her husband, Gary, enjoy parenting their three children.
Becky currently oversees Children’s, Youth, Missions and Worship Ministries. NextGen, our children and youth ministry, provides fun environments for each age group, including the volunteers, to experience God right where they are and equip them to follow Jesus in their every-day lives. Church of the Hills Worship Teams are having a blast ushering in God’s presence for COTH’s corporate services.
Becky is passionate about calling forth destinies and partnering with individuals to fulfill their destinies. She believes that regardless of age, God has a great plan for each person today. So let’s be the “best me” God has created me to be.
Liz came to Church of the Hills in 2007 and joined the leadership team May 2011, after several years in business and non-profit management. Her primary responsibility is to equip church members through our adult education programs and mobilize them into small groups. Liz also oversees the ministry teams, church communications, women’s ministries and Firm Foundations, COTH’s flagship ministry.
Liz desires to see everyone set free to become the person God created them to be and co-labor with God to pursue the dreams on their hearts. She lives to see the love and power of Jesus invade all aspects of culture.
John David Vasquez
John David Vasquez has been leading others into worship at Church of the Hills since 2000 and joined the staff in 2004. His love for ushering the presence of the Lord is evident, as he is responsible for directing COTH’s worship teams with the guidance of Pastor Becky.
John enjoys sharing Jesus through music so that people feel the tangible presence of the Lord and have an encounter with the living God. That desire goes beyond the walls of the church, as he lives for the day people experience God regularly through music and the arts in every venue of the city.
